Health & Safety in the Workplace
2 Day Workshop
Prerequisite: None
This comprehensive workshop details the requirements of a sound Health and Safety program.
This 2 day program offers solutions to Supervisors and Managers who have the responsibility for workplace safety and will provide them with the understanding of Health and Safety regulations as required to meet regulatory standards and expectations. Participants will be able to effectively formulate an action plan for the implementation of Health and Safety Standards within their organization.
The objective of this course is to provide participants with general knowledge on "how to" implement a health and safety vision within their organization.
Participants will join in group discussions, view video material from the W.S.I.B., and be provided tools that will assist in formulating a health and safety vision within their organization.
Upon the completion of this seminar participants will have:
- "Generic" W.H.M.I.S. knowledge including an overview of M.S.D.S./labels/symbols.
- An overview of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- A summary of requirements of "supervisory staff" as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including discussions about The Right To Know.
- A systematic approach to W.S.I.B. claims management and implementing a successful Return To Work Program.
At the commencement of the program further tools and resources will be distributed to assist participants in receiving specific and Specialized services.
